Begun by Na Kim (KR) in 2004, Umool Umool is a print/magazine/project that may change as it progresses. The title translates to "well" in Korean, referencing the vessel or container that constantly replenishes itself. Contributors range from emerging voices in the graphic design field to the clear-eyed establishment - Umool Umool offers an opportunity to explore their ideas in a more free-form manner. Oft addressed topics are the role of the designer, the division of form and content, and the heirarchies of graphic design in the wider realm of cultural production.
