Photographer Antonio Macarro works out of San Sebastian, Spain. His fine art and fashion work has the unique ability of acting as the essential connective thread between two worlds, without dominating the subject but leaving the personal echo of his distinct vision. His combination of sensitive light and compassionate detachment is shared by many of the designers and fashion industry personages he documents. Rather than simply photographing clothes, Macarro has linked traditions of classic portraiture with editorial focus, giving the reader a strong imprint as to the motivations and direction of the individuals profiled. Lively, thoughtful interviews and a visual analysis of thematics are indirect and satisfying.
