Ben Kinmont is an artist, publisher, and bookseller (CA). His work is about communication, in public and private spaces, ones made for viewing, and ones that are not. His work further deals with archiving as an active practice, one that can serve to magnify the relationship or interaction between artist and viewer. Prospectus is a traveling series of presentations that changes with context and collaborators. They offer an alternate reading on the history of conceptual art, one in which the work is understood as a materialization of life rather than a dematerialization of the art object.
